IMO. True. Except, there is more cost involved than benefit for everyone
involved. There are communication costs, so you have to go through a 3rd
party to understand what even needs to be done. There are contractual
problems, in that you can get sued if the company you are working for are
idiots and did not properly draft a contract with the 3rd party. The
company in the middle can rip you off; their clients can rip you off... and
a host of other issues. The only function that they really provide, that's
worth it is marketing and getting clients... After that, I think it's
pretty much downhill. You have no control over which parts you get to do,
as there is now someone assigning things. You lose control of
communication. That's not your client, so you are not really building a
relationship or a business. Develop the ability to get yourself clients,
and you will be better off in the long run. In general it can be good, if
nothing goes wrong; but contingencies are a bitch. Strongly advise against
it, especially if it's not an egalitarian relationship where everything is
on laid out clearly on the table and there is no "management".
