I liken these posts to the soapbox preachers from my college days. They gathered an audience and lots of remarks, but most people thought - "get a life!". This Drupal list seems to have become a soapbox for all sorts of agendas.

I have been a long time subscriber and have not been much of a contributor. But as I sit here on a plane on my way to Drupalcon wading through the dozen or more posts on the topic on my Blackberry (wondering if it supports rules to create a folder called humorous Drupal posts and auto-classify)
