Here is another piece of advice, specially for the technically inclined.<br><br>Sometimes RFPs are just formalities, and things organization have<br>to do as a matter of procedure/formality. Some other times, by the <br>time you reach the contracting stage, requirements would have changed
<br><br>Also, weigh in the amount of time you will need to write a response to the<br>RFP, vs. the probability of actually getting the job.<br><br>A project that has a high dollar figure with low probability of you getting
<br>it may not warrant time you spend on it vs. a project for a lower amount<br>but is more guaranteed.<br><br>The time you spend in responding to the former, and not getting it will<br>be wasted time, and if you spend that time instead for the second project
<br>you are paid.<br><br>Some shops even say it outright: "we do not bid on projects".<br><br>
