Hi all-

As a result of my e-mail list mixup last week, you probably are already aware that the Google Summer of Code is in full swing. This week, we announced the 18 projects that were admitted for this summer ( http://drupal.org/node/440838 ), and for the next few weeks we'll be welcoming these students into the community and beginning to work with them on their projects, so if you're interested at all in working as a co-mentor or even if you just want to follow along with the summer's progress, please join http://groups.drupal.org/soc-2009 .

Also, I wanted to ask if any firms/developers out there have any internships available this summer. If you do, please consider posting the opportunity to http://groups.drupal.org/node/21626 . As usual, we received way more promising students and proposals than we received slots, and in my opinion it would be a shame to let these potential Drupal rockstars walk away from the project disappointed, espescially if there are other opportunities to remain engaged in the community. So, if you have an internship, or you're considering offering one, please post to the Summer of Code group!
