Really fascinating how this whole thread starts out implicitly dealing with how to defend the interests of website application developers, and ends up identifying with how best to help the employers commoditize our services.<div>
<br></div><div>For Kieran Lal, who is a great guy and a selfless Drupal activist, the answer, however, for the audience he is tuned towards is the hideously exploitative odesk (who control your screen while you work) which is "a great place to find certified and experienced Drupal talent." As I recall the Drupal Association had something to do with their "certification" program.</div>

Making sure MCSE-style silliness doesn't occur should be a goal, but it doesn't make sense to dismiss the concept because someone else did it in a way you don't like.<br>
