Hi all. Up until now, I've always hired freelancers, but I'm considering hiring a full time developer.

I'm at a bit of a loss when it comes to figuring out what to pay him or her. Any suggestions for starting salaries? How did those of you with employees first determine what salary to pay?

I'm thinking of hiring someone for an entry level position, someone who has programming skills, but not necessarily Drupal skills. I will train them on the Drupal skills and give them time to learn on the job.

I know this depends, in part, on where you are located, so if helps anyone in advising me, I'm in the Philadelphia area. .

Any advice on what to pay or at least how I can find out what to pay -- would be greatly appreciated.

(BTW -- I'm pretty sure discussing this wouldn't be considered price fixing, as this has nothing to do with prices being charged to clients, but what to pay staff.)

Thanks,
Sam

--
