Subject: [development] can any one help me views

Hi All ,
I am currently assigned with a project in drupal to work with views. Can
anyone guide me how should i go about it????
I am referring http://drupal.org/node/109604 but since there are no examples
i am unable to grasp much. I want to work with views2 . Is it necessary to
have CCK module enabled to work with views2.
What if I want to add an option in the default list of
fields, arguments, filter how should i go about it ???
