[support] Possible bug: deleting a user makes that user's nodes inaccessible to anyone, including user/1

I also have had this issue and been searching for the answer (on
drupal.org and beyond) for *years* since the users are not phantom
users.  Apparently, when I moved from Scoop some weird db anomalies
surfaced in the uid fields.  Thank to Tim, I have finally found a
workaround.

The only issue I found that is perhaps related is this one:

Is this the bug you refer to?
