[support] File folder outside webfolder

[Marolijo - Pol maresma]

I confirm that I have
Original files working directory: Web folder:
/srv/www/vhosts/domain.net/httpdocs/files
Web folder: /srv/www/vhosts/domain.net/httpdocs 
New files folder: /srv/www/vhosts/domain.net/files 
New files folder owner and group are the same as original files folder.
New files have 777 permissions
I choosed private download method and changed files folder path.

System tells me the folder doesn't exists.
What else can I try?

If I'm understanding this correctly, what you'll need to do is specify the
absolute path (/srv/www/vhosts/domain.com/files) and then set the "Download
Method" to private (Drupal serves the files instead of the webserver). These
changes, by the way, are made on the admin/settings/file-system page...
