[support] Upgrade from 4.7.2 to 5.10

Hi,

I would like to migrate a web site from Drupal 4.7.2 to 5.10 (specifically
5.10-1~bpo40+1 from Debian etch-backports).

I imagine this migration might be quite painful, does anyone have any
advice?

I'm wondering whether I might be best to start with a fresh Drupal
installation and semi-manually transfer the data from the old database using
a script.
