[support] Repeated messag about 'Updated string'

Users on my sites are getting frequent messages at the top of the centre
column about string translations in the menu being updated, e.g. 

Updated string item:5255:title for textgroup menu: Help Updated string
item:5252:title for textgroup menu: Report an issue Updated string
item:15302:title for textgroup menu: Email web team

 

Does anyone know why that is, and how to prevent them appearing without
turning off all messages?
