[support] Change view's query

Hi all. I need to create a view, but the with the view module I can not 
set the correct query. So I have thinked: why don't change the query of 
the view ? In this way I can use all view's functionality, but with my 
query.

Is this possibile ? Where i can find some tutorial, manual, article ?
