[support] Products not listed in catalog

Good evening list,
    
I'm having a problem in getting my products shown up in the catalog.
I've set some test terms up in the taxonomy, the vocabulary is set up
for products and product kits. I've added some products to the test
site but i can't select a category because the select field is empty
under 'catalog' on the edit product page ... am i missing some
setting?
