[support] Latest News Module

Hi. I'd like to have the latest blog postings in an abbreviated list  
on my home page. Somewhat Like dRockLatestNews modules. But, each  
posting in the dRock modules require a thumbnail image and shows a "?"  
if no image is present. I don't want my users to have to create a  
thumbnail for every blog they post. What should I do to just get the  
first 100 or so chars, with a title, listing of the latest 6 or so  
blog postings?
