[support] Field Groups

I need to include two fields as pairs. There is an "important date" and "reason" which must always match up. And if another date is needed, then another "reason" needs to be generated with it. Maybe I'm just seriously confused, but Field Groups doesn't seem to do this. How can I get these pairs to match up? And they need to stay matched in Views as well.
