[support] Help with Views

I'm having trouble understanding how to configure an existing Drupal site so
that it's easy to post to one tab like a blog. Right now, the only way it
works is to edit an existing post to update the info. I'm told it has to do
with Views, but I tried one tutorial and it's still confusing.  Where can I
find a good tutorial or is there a simple change in a setting I have to
make?
