[support] size of blocks

I would do it in CSS. Set the widths of block-system-main-menu and block-search-form, then float the former to the left and the latter to the right.
I did something similar on my dev site a few weeks ago.

Dear All,
I'd like to set two blocks in the same region onto the same line. main menu floated left and search form on the right. Can someone point me in the right direction as to where I should be looking to do this or how? Template file? CSS?
