[support] drupal 7 versus drupal 6

Hi all,
earlier I was using Drupal 6, that was working nicely.
few days ago I switched to drupal 7 that is very fast. but giving me some
trouble. I am unable to create the content sometimes
when I created new blog type content and saves I am getting the editor page
again. its not saving the content.

and sometimes I am getting error
*PDOException*: SQLSTATE[HY000] [2002] Can't connect to local MySQL server
through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2) in*lock_may_be_available()*
(line *165* of */home/alok/public_html/includes/lock.inc*).

is drupal 7 buggy? I think its new so may have some bugs.
is there a way to downgrade drupal7 to drupal 6? and lot of modules are not
available for drupal 7
please suggest me. should I switch back to drupal6??
