I remember doing this with a tiny amount of Javascript/jQuery.  A quick
google shows this example:

I need to create a block that shows all the recently added content; this is
not a problem. What they want, however, is to show the first 5 entries with
a "more" link that shows the whole list. I assume some kind of javascript is
doing this. Does anyone know of a way to accomplish this? Is there maybe
something in jQuery that does it?
