[support] URL weirdness

I am trying to login to my site. After I hit login I get a 404. The Url is
changed to
http://foo/bar*/bar*/mysitename/node?destination=node

Somehow the second *bar* is getting inserted into the URL.  (I used backup
and migrate to back it up every day but can not start the *restore  *as far
as I know. ) Looked in the .htaccess and all is the same. Any ideas?
