[support] Another Drupal vs WordPress question

Drupal drupal at afan.net

The thing is there is big chance I’ll build in the future dozen (or even several dozens) small websites for small nonprofits, so it’s about decision which way to go, considering maintenance, speed, updates, theming, easy for users to learn to maintain the content, etc. So, right now, for a website or two, I would not worry about it. But I believe it would be good to think a little bit for a sake of future, right?

If you have a lot of experience with drupal but none with wordpress, it will almost always be more efficient (both in terms of speed and best practice) to build with drupal. This is also vice versa.

At the end of the day all that matters is the opinions of your stakeholders. Exceptions to this are few and far between as all major CMS have enterprise level services available.

I use Drupal for almost 6 years but, still, I would put myself to "higher beginner" level. 90% of my websites are small, simple, intro websites I built for friends and "clients". Mostly with News, Basic, Events/Calendar, Webform, Forum... content types. Pretty standard.

If a small nonprofit asks you to build small website with some basic stuff, for free if possible, would you still build it on Drupal?
