Hello,

I use Goldencan Version 2 PHP scripts so that I have online affiliate "stores".

There has been a problem for a long time that I associated with shared hosting. Now that I'm on a dedicated host it's reared it's ugly head again - still.

This error does not happen if a human accesses the page. For people and all types of browsers there are no problem and for other spiders! Time of day doesn't matter either - it's just GoogleBot that seems to generate this error and it's always the same error, just a different "store" section that creates it.

From the Drupal log:

readfile(http://si.goldencan.com/GetData.aspx?ver=2.0&SID=removed&Host=www.myplace.com&PageURL=%2Findex.php%3Fq%3Dgcstore%26gccid%3D10238366&IPAddress=66.249.71.113&UserAgent=Mozilla%2F5.0+%28compatible%3B+Googlebot%2F2.1%3B+%2Bhttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com%2Fbot.html%29) [function.readfile]: failed to open stream: HTTP request failed! in /includes/common.inc(1497) : eval()'d code on line 12.

It's always "failed to open stream: HTTP request
failed! in /includes/common.inc(1497) : eval()'d code on line 12".

Anyone have any ideas? I've written to GC but they see no problem with the code they supply nor did they have any suggestions.

Thanks for looking!

Skip
