I'm not sure what you mean, "I don't know what the context would
be". Do you only want to change it for certain node types? If not,
the string overrides module will alter all complete strings of "Read
More" (not fragments in sentences) for whatever you want.<br>

the other alternative (what I do) is to roll your own links section
in tpl template files for each node type.<br>
