Trying to install manually, this is the error<br>

That error was traying to install ctools manually , downloading it first
to my hard disk.<br><br>
Of course seems a permissions error but can not find where is
it....<br><br>
I do not know what is the real "temporary://" sundirectory....
I even , since it is a testing site, gave permission for writing to all
the web directory.... all and the same<br><br>
(leaving all comments here just for the archives in case another one gets
the same error)<br><br>

of PHP memory asigned? I have only 128M Do you think in general that

I install my modules/etc using drush, so I can't quite replicate your
problem without switching on services I don't want. <br><br>
Posting articles, changing them etc. require database updates, whereas
the installation of a module/theme requires the correct permissions in
the directories involved. <br><br>
