In my case I have the server so it is not a hosting issue in terms that I need to conform (or leave it).</div><div><br></div><div>So the more specific question would be starting points to try to narrow this slowdown origin.<br>

There are many things that can be done to optimize sites, including Drupal sites. Incorrectly configured modules, poor programming, poor module interaction, slow MYSQL server (or unoptimized).<br>

I used Godaddy as my host for a while, but they had horribly slow Drupal sites (other sites were fine). When I switched to BlueHost, all my performance issues vanished. I hope that helps some.<br>
