<br>
The most common way of doing this is:<br>
</font>
<ol>
<li>A<font face="Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif">dd the First and
Last name fields to your view</font></li>
<li><font face="Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif">Use "Exclude from
display" for the First name field</font></li>
<li><font face="Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif">Expand "Rewrite
results" and tick "Rewrite the output of this field" the Last
name field</font></li>
<li><font face="Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif">Then use the text
field and insert the replacement patterns for the first and
last name fields.</font></li>
</ol>
<font face="Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif">It important the the
fields you exclude are above the field you will then use the
excluded field in.<br>

<pre wrap="">In Drupal 6 I could create a view of say contacts which concatenated
first and last name.
this could then be used as a select list field in cck
I haven't a clue how to do the same in Drupal 7
Is there a D7 module that permits this to happen?
Help greatly appreciated, thanks
Roger
