Hello There!
My Name is Cristian Berg, 23 Years old/young, from Austria (without
Kangaroos)
My Mother Tounge is German, with broken Support for English ;)
* I used PHP-Nuke and PHPWebsite in the late 90ies, only to reconize
that PHP-Nuke is Crap and not Free as the GPL says.
* I wrote a own CMS (NukeEvent), That ended in an unmaintained peace of
half working scripts.
For my new Projects i needed a System with a good comment System and
Blogger Support. Drupal is NEARLY perfect for this.
I Love Drupal for its modular Design and support for Webstandards. Since
November 2005 i use Drupal for my personal Blog (htttp://xeniac.at) and
for my ongoing Project (http://j-fan.at).

@kobus: As you see, it seems to be a missunderstanding.
Maybe my words sounded too harsch, because of my broken english.
But as all Software on this Planet Drupal has flaws too, i submit
Bugreports, and Patches whenever possible and also work on a new
contribmodule named onlinestatus. (A feature i need for j-fan.at)
One of the Problems of Drupal is the Contribution to W3C Standards.
Safari/Konqueror are the only ACID Compatible Browsers today, so W3C
conform Webdesign is always an Compromise.

The thing i wanted to say:
Drupalers should'nt be so arrogant as Microsoft. We are an open
Community, not an Monopolist. Open Community means open for Everyone,
even Microsoft.
As Soon as Microsoft's Internet Exploiter 7 is available in
WindowsUpdate ~ 30% of the Internet will use IE 7. Drupal shoud be ready
for them.

Look at the drupal.org HTML Source you will find this:
<!-- Note: does not validate. We would like it to, but that would mean
reduced user experience for the majority of our visitors. -->

Maybe we could Update the Browsecap Module
(http://drupal.org/node/26569) so it could reconize IE6 and IE7.
IE7,Opera,Safari, Konqueror and Mozilla can fetch the clean XHTML.
IE6 Users will get an modified Style bugcompatible as now. (with an
"Please Update" Notice)
This Technique could than be used by everybody who needs it.

Yes i know, a design without this quirks would be better, but it seems
that this is not always possible.
This Microsoft Guy on the otherside could support the developers with
Knowledge an an IE7 Beta for the testing.

Sorry for my "trolling"

Christian Berg
