I guess you ment FCK, not CCK.

I don't want to start an off topic here but I found htmlarea more useful than FCK because of the image plugins that comes with which give you a better control of image managing and importing as well as placing within the textareas. In any case I also believe that a WYSIWYG textarea module is basic for a beginner.
