Is there any chance 1-3 could end up in 5.0?

RobRoy and I are working on it: http://drupal.org/node/104763 -- I'm about to test to see if this works. Rather than asking...let's make it ready and then work through any issues. I think this is a good step to do to get into 5. At a worst case (no functional changes, we're just moving code around), maybe for a bugfix in the 5 series.
