Más allá de clasificar Drupal en uno u otro padrón, digamos que se habla en términos de "modelo-vista-controlador" en el sentido de que Drupal hace una excelente separación _limpia_ entre la persistencia de los datos y los formularios (modelo), la lógica (ciclo de respuesta al pedido http, o sea, ciclo de vida de un "request" a un sitio Drupal), y la vista que emerge como la respuesta HTML al explorador del internet (browser). En cada esfera, hay muchas oportunidades para efectuar modificaciones de manera limpia.
