Why not discuss it at drupalcon? It doesn't have to be anything big and official, but could someone bring it up? Just a gather a few people and talk a little.

Doesn't have to be now. It only has to be before HEAD is opened
again for "the next release". So, I guess it can wait till after DrupalCon.
