Hi Gurus, I want to analyze the possibility to integrate a Magento project with drupal framework. We have a Magento site with the possibility to have hundreds shops. The problem we have found is: how to allow any shop man to manage his content, for examples news, products, categories and so on. IMHO, I think that drupal can create the right interface to manage this process, but I don't understand how. I have read a lot of tutorial and drupal forum threads, but no one tell about my scenario. Any opinions/advice will be more appreciated. Adyax has developed and supports a Drupal/Magento integration suite. You might want to start by building on it. http://drupal.org/project/magento ----- Original Message ----- From: "Nicola" <nirvana98@gmail.com> To: <development@drupal.org> Sent: Monday, February 28, 2011 10:51 AM Subject: [development] Magento and Drupal Hi Gurus, I want to analyze the possibility to integrate a Magento project with drupal framework. @Robert I know the flexibility of drupal ecommerce modules and probably in the future we create a porting of Magento projects on it. But I want to understand if some one in this list have already done some experience and he can recommend me some particular module/advice or other. @FGM I have already read this thread and probably will be my choice. Hi Nicola, sounds like you wouldn't have a lot of those problems if you were using Ubercart (D6) or Drupal Commerce (D7) for your store. With a Magento integration you'll have to take care of singe sign on, and push data between Drupal and Magento in areas that they have to work together (eg taxonomy, content, roles, permissions). On the other hand, the native Drupal shops, especially Drupal Commerce, are very powerful and flexible, and are tightly integrated with Drupal to begin with.
