admin/user filter patch for core
i've taken the time to revive jjeff's original patch for a user filter at admin/user. the patch allows you to filter by role, permission, or status, and is a sorely needed piece of functionality for sites with large user bases. at this point i haven't done more than update the patch to current HEAD and make a few minor tweaks--it definitely needs eyes on it, both for coding style and usability. i'd like to urge folks to please have a look at this work and help me get it core worthy prior to the code freeze--it would be a shame to see this slip another release cycle... latest patch is here: http://drupal.org/node/34505#comment-115938 and for those of you who just want to see it in action, i've taken the time to set up a demo site here: http://userfilter.xcarnated.com/ chad
+1 on this. It looks very similar to the admin/node filter, so it is consistent from a user inteface point of view. An the functionality is needed. On 7/19/06, Chad Phillips -- Apartment Lines <chad@apartmentlines.com> wrote:

thanks - this is just what a client requested yesterday! They also wanted to be able to filter by language -- I'll see if I can add that easily as well if you haven't already. - Alan On 7/19/06, Khalid B <kb@2bits.com> wrote:

I posted a review. Looks great, just needs a tiny bit of work to get the UI 100% right. :) -- Dries Buytaert :: http://www.buytaert.net/

I haven't had a chance to look at this yet (I'm offline on a plane) - but this reminds me of something I think could be a nice UI enhancement for all our mass-operation admin UI's (node, comment, user): check all/check none. anyone interested? -- James Walker :: http://walkah.net/ :: xmpp:walkah@walkah.net

+1 I'm all for it. It's one of the biggest inconvienences in Drupal administration. And hey, jjeff's got a patch for that too: http://drupal.org/node/20641

Definitely gets a +1 from me for the functionality. Our admins will love us for it at Standard Radio.. for that matter, it will save even our dev team a lot of time! -Rowan
