[drupal-devel] [feature] Help text improvement: Gentler intro to categories
Issue status update for http://drupal.org/node/31394 Post a follow up: http://drupal.org/project/comments/add/31394 Project: Drupal Version: cvs Component: taxonomy.module Category: feature requests Priority: normal Assigned to: nysus Reported by: nysus Updated by: nysus Status: patch (code needs review) Attachment: http://drupal.org/files/issues/taxonomy_14.patch (2.22 KB) Here is an improvement to the largely inscrutable help text on the admin/taxonomy page. It is a much gentler and generic introduction to the idea behind vocabularies and terms and avoids all jargon. The more difficult stuff can be covered on other pages and in the help documentation. It also to reflects the changes to the user interface which no longer lists the terms below the vocabulary. nysus

There was a big push this summer to update all admin/help documentation for 4.6, and new docs were written for all core modules, including taxonomy.module [2]. I do not know what the status is of efforts to create a patch to update that text into the module. However, we do have some documentation on writing the admin/help docs [3].
