Hello, Last week I was looking for a Brazilian Portuguese translation of Drupal, then I get the CVS version. But when I opened the files, almost all of them are Copyrighted. I am a bit afraid about use this files, I think the files should be released in a "open-like" license, am I wrong? Thanks, Fabiano Sant'Ana

It may surprise you, but each file of Drupal is copyrighted.

No, the GPL is included with the downloaded tarballs. Cheers, Gerhard

May be I'm just misunderstanding, but look here: http://cvs.drupal.org/viewcvs/drupal/contributions/translations/pt-br/aggreg... I have some doubts, may I change/redistribute this file? What is the license of the 1.3 version? GPL? thanks, fabiano.
Fabiano Anything that goes into the Drupal CVS repository has to be GPL. This is a requirement that we have set a long time ago to avoid arguments about licenses. So, whoever put them in must have known that. Also, they can still keep their own copyright on it. The two are not mutually exclusive. On 11/16/05, Fabiano Sant'Ana <listas@wundo.net> wrote:
