Drupal 5, machine/human readable node type names

It seems that the human verses machine readable names of node types has been blurred. For example, in D5, go to admin/content/types and select "story". Now, in the "identification" field set, change "Name" (human readable name) to "John Doe's stories" and leave "Type" (machine-readable name) alone. You'll see the human readable name gets escaped to "John Doe's stories". Imho, that's a machine readable string and not human readable (yes, humans can read it, but you get what I'm saying) regards --AjK

sounds like a problem with the magic translation check_plain stuff that was added. this should be posted as a bug.
