Hi all, A few days ago, I posted a "reward" for help with some difficulties a friend was having writing to the database. As it turns out, he had forgotten to initialize a variable somewhere in the code and that was the problem. It took him a while to ferret out since it was failing silently at the db level. Thanks to all who responded - he now sees the advantage of sleep during the debugging process. :-) Thanks again..
