Nice idea!

There used to be a paypal account.
Where will the donation go ?
No idea. :p Maybe t-shirts or flyers for the next conference. I guess it is best to wait for Dries to return from his honeymoon. Cheers, Gerhard
i'd imagine that it depends on how much they wish to donate. For a smaller amount donate it direct. Or they could use the spirit of opensource (blahdi blah) and hire a developer to fix a bunch of bugs. Either works. Just IMHO. Adam On 4/7/06, Gerhard Killesreiter <gerhard@killesreiter.de> wrote:

They already hire me to fix the bugs and develop modules :) It's not a "small" donation like the ones I have seen on this page <http://drupal.org/node/2227> it's actually going to be bigger. I think it could be used to organize a Drupal conference or a cocktail for the conference at least :) As suggested, I will wait for Dries to come back from holidays. Thanks for your advices. -- Bertrand Mansion Mamasam Tel : +33 1 48 89 88 26 http://www.mamasam.com Creative Internet Solutions

Most likely there will be 2 or 3 conferences this year. The first (?) candidate being OSCON-EU in belgium.

Is there someplace where these conferences are listed? It would be nice to have time enough to plan ahead and prepare for them. -- Jason Flatt http://www.oadae.net/ Father of Six: http://www.flattfamily.com/ (Joseph, 13; Cramer, 11; Travis, 9; Angela; Harry, 5; and William, 12:04 am, 12-29-2005) Linux User: http://www.sourcemage.org/ Drupal Fanatic: http://drupal.org/

When they are "official" they get announced (which really just means someone has committed to planning something on the ground). They get planned on the conferences mailing list, and currently people post them in the "Events" forum. The groups.drupal.org site will have event listings as well.
