Call for Drupalcon Barcelona presentations/notes
I've created a section in the handbook for posting presentations and session notes: http://drupal.org/node/177855. Just add a child page to add your stuff. Please make an effort to get your stuff in here, so they're archived for all the poor folks who couldn't make it, and for Drupal generations of the future. Thanks! -Angie
What about videos for those who have them? On 9/22/07, Angela Byron <drupal-devel@webchick.net> wrote:

I missed my session due to a bad migraine :( Am I okay to post a message of apologies to all people who wanted to come and also to direct them to http://groups.drupal.org/booking-systems as I intend to do a screencast or something of what i was going to present, and use the group for further discussions? -- Cheers, Martin mailto:devel@fronbow.co.uk

Sure, I don't see why not. :)

Roberto actually asked presenters (at the closing session), that we should upload our sessions as attachments to our session nodes on the Barcelona drupalcon site. I am no sure this way our slides will be up for a longer term, given that the Barcelona site might just be temporary. Anyway, wherever it is uploaded, it should be linked from the session nodes on the drupalcon site too. Gabor

Great URLs never die! So those barcelona drupalcon URLs *should* stay up... We do need to think about archiving / locking down the site eventually. This is the constant issue with conference / event sites over time... -- Boris Mann Office 604-682-2889 Skype borismann http://www.bryght.com

Although because it is not possible to edit the session text now, I'd suggest people add their slide links as comments there. It is still findable. Gabor

I think we should turn off *all* interactivity in one month on the site and let an "ab" spider the site. then delete the drupal install and put static html in place. then we can in due time redirect drupalcon.org to somewhereelse2008.drupalcon.org. this way we dont have to worry about security and stuff. Boris, will you be able to keep this site in the air for "some time", it will be just a static not visited often archive by that time?

That works, but I'd prefer them to be on drupal.org itself, since the content for *that* site will definitely stay up. ;) Also, it then mirrors the Brussels, OSCMS, etc. sections of the handbook. But definitely linking from both places would be good. -Angie

Angie, this needs to become part of a process / write up / best practices for DrupalCons in general. One good argument that some of those handbook places the stuff ended up there because there wasn't an external site, or an external site without those capabilities. Anyone, something else to mark down as "learnings from DrupalCon debrief". Ideally, I'd like to have *some* presentations beforehand in the future... /me goes off to clean up his presentation -- Boris Mann Office 604-682-2889 Skype borismann http://www.bryght.com

Good call. The Drupal Event Organization (http://groups.drupal.org/drupal-event-organization) group is wide open to wikipages with information. I also plan to summarize our "next DrupalCon" BoF there, as well as provide some more lined up framework for documenting best practices there. Will also blog about the story behind this sorta-new sorta-old group as soon as I get to it. Gabor

That sounds like a great idea. I was unable to attend as I need to know of Drupal Con location+dates at least 6 months in advance to get travel support from my organization :-( So any ideas where+when next Drupal Con in Europe would be? Budapest would be great (hint from Croatian neighbor ;-) -- "be the change you wish to see in the World" - Gandhi :: in .hr.Zagreb > going .it.Milan 20070907-09 M:+385 91 43 78276 http://basis.desk.org:8080/ASU2/TravelPlan
