Regarding "I think it's good change, but I'd suggest also adding the extentsion .htm" I would have to disagree as I have used this to set up a site so old links still work by aliasing the drupal content with names that end in .htm. In this case I never expect the .htm files to be found but for drupal to handle them.
I should have included the Drupal issue with the patch in it. That is what I meant for +1 it ... too late in the night ... Here is the issue. http://drupal.org/node/76824 I disagree with .htm, .html since some aliases may have been redirected to old paths. .ico is a good addition. I have a new patch there. Please comment on the issue.
