drupal.org timing out
drupal.org groups.drupal.org have been timing out for me over the last few days. (at least 20% of the time) as well as being much slower than in previous months. I think maybe it's not happening to anyone else, no talk on IRC, no talk on dev list... but I don't know why that would be, so I thought it best to say something. sime
I've been getting some white screens on drupal.org as well as some intermittent timeouts. Rob Roy Barreca Electronic Insight Corporation 12526 High Bluff Drive, Suite 300 San Diego, CA 92130 http://www.electronicinsight.com rob@electronicinsight.com sime wrote:

The blank screen is caused by an apache segfault. It has been reported here http://drupal.org/node/72801 and needs attention from the folks at OSU OSL, or Gerhard (who is away till Tuesday). Anyone else has access to the servers?

Did you try using the emails in the archives from OSUOSL? If not I can dig through the archives and find it. I cc'd infrastructure since that's more where this belongs - future responses can probably drop the development@ list. I have and I contacted OSL. Let's move this discussion to the infrastructure mailing list. :) -- Dries Buytaert :: http://www.buytaert.net/
It's not just you, sime - I have been experiencing similar problems as well. drupal.org has been working pretty well for me, but groups.drupal.org and cvs.drupal.org (in particular) have been extremely unreliable for me. I was trying to access CVS contrib a few nights ago, and was completely unable to connect. I was on IRC at the time, and I asked Dries if he could reproduce a similar problem. He was unable to reproduce any such problem. I ended up SSHing into my university server, where I was able to perform a CVS update just fine. I think that it could have something to do with both of us being in Australia (although my uni server is also in Australia). I have contacted my ISP (iiNet), and they were unable to identify any problem on their side - they said that if it's just one particular site that I'm having problems with, then it must be a problem with the server hosting that site. I'm not so sure. Anyway, I hope that we can sort out this weird mystery, and that we can get it all to work reliably once more! Cheers, Jaza. On 7/10/06, sime <info@urbits.com> wrote:

http://cvs.drupal.org/ has been reliable for me. If the problem persists, or if other people experienced similar problems, please report it on the infrastructure mailing list. Thanks. Either way, I'll check with OSL just to make sure. -- Dries Buytaert :: http://www.buytaert.net/
