[Fwd: LinuxTag with "Information Web" Track (3 more days to CfP!)]
Hi guys, Someone preparing a session for LinuxTag? A lot of other CMS players are there. Only three days to go until the CfP deadline. Goba
If only we had some kind of system where we could track dates of all these events :P Maybe Moshe's magical groups system will let us set up a group to stick all conference related events in one place for those that are interested to keep track of. I'm overcommitted for Europe this year, so "not me". On 12-Jan-06, at 1:58 PM, Gabor Hojtsy wrote:

Hi,
The LinuxTag 2006 will have three focus topics, one of them is "Information Web", which comprises CMSs, Wikis, Weblogs, etc.
If you got something important to say about this topic in English or German: the Call for Papers will end this Sunday, January 15th - only 3 more days!
After organising last year's OscomTag subconference at LinuxTag 2005 together with Markus Nix, the LinuxTag organizers asked me whether I would like to lead the team preparing the Information Web track this year. After contacting some of the OscomTag 2005 speakers, we got together a great group of 10 people:
* Markus Beckedahl (newthinking communications) * Sandro Groganz (eZ publish, OSCOM) * Ansgar Hein (Anatom5, Barrierekompass) * Daniel Hinderink (Typo3) * Alex Kempkens (Joomla!) * Boris Kraft (Magnolia) * Markus Nix (docuverse, OSCOM) * Christian Theune (Zope, Plone) * Michael Wechner (Apache Lenya, OSCOM) * Oliver Zschau (contentmanager.de)

Sandro

I like this idea. I keep finding about events after it's too late for me to be able to allocate time or funds to them. -- Jason Flatt http://www.oadae.net/ jason@oadae.net

Well, if somebody has a topic that he thinks is important, I will be glad to talk about it. :p It is only one hour away. Cheers, Gerhard
I'm only a couple hours away as well. Gerhard, you could talk about emerging trends that make Drupal an even more exciting webapp platform: CCK, Views, Relations, forms. After Vancouver and our meeting in March the Relations API will certainly have gained enough momentum to talk about. I can help you prepare and will be there if you speak. I am not particularly involved with any of the suggestions, so I decided to not send a proposal. However, there is also the possibility to apply for a Drupal booth: http://www.linuxtag.org/2006/en/home/cfpro/call-for-projects.html I think we can provide this: http://www.linuxtag.org/2006/en/home/cfpro/what-linuxtag-expects-from-projec... I'd be interested in manning such a booth iff I don't have to do it alone. I think that four people would be the minimum. Cheers, Gerhard
