aggregator2 update path complete!
Hello all, I'm following up on a thread that was started before which recommended that I (the aggregation module developer) provide an update path for the abandoned aggregator2 users. This is now complete :-) I don't think there's any need for me to remind developers to BACKUP everything (site + database) before attempting such a jump. You will find the details at the project's page and more details in the README file accompanying the module. http://drupal.org/project/aggregation With Regards, Ashraf Amayreh
Make sure you mention that in the project page and README.txt of aggregator2 as well as aggregation. Now, your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to modularize the node creation from feeds and make that a generic API. (Half kidding. It would be great if all who work on aggregator stuff unify their efforts on such an API). On 4/28/07, Ashraf Amayreh <mistknight@gmail.com> wrote:

I really don't mind any good idea for the united aggregation front lol. Question is, should we waste our time updating the aggregator module or to simply choose a new base module, alter it to fit, and push to include it in core? Let's talk about it more so I can understand what you two have in mind. I'll go over the syndication group and try to understand what you're proposing. Khalid, Boris, I hope you don't mind me contacting you on the side so we can discuss this. Anyone who has ideas or suggestions on this issue, please contact me and we can talk about it as well. Thanks. On 4/29/07, Boris Mann <boris@bryght.com> wrote:
