Re: [drupal-devel] new CVS accounts
Hello world,
I approved a bunch of CVS accounts. Please welcome our new contributors, and assist them as necessary.
(Hopefully they won't screw up this time around. ;))
Commence fear instillation! <g>
OK newbies, this is frosh week for the new CVS account holders. Abandon hope all ye enter here! The catastrophe: http://lists.drupal.org/archives/drupal-devel/2005-04/msg00169.html The confession: http://lists.drupal.org/archives/drupal-devel/2005-04/msg00195.html The punishment: (I can't link to the punishment, it was too graphic!) Another botched up incident: http://lists.drupal.org/archives/drupal-devel/2005-04/msg00478.html Seriously, let us learn from what happened and not repeat it. Start with reading up on CVS as much as you can, and dont do a tag or commit unless you are sure that what are doing is what you intended. Welcome on board!

Gulp...errr, I, ummm.... Well, I did read the book and the FAQs first. I just misinterpreted them. Badly. My next module will be called HOS for "Hall of Shame". It automatically allows your Drupal web site to query the Drupal list archives to obtain all the most ignoble mistakes. The new feature is an internal "grep -v syscrusher" on the resulting list... ;-) {slinking away quietly} -- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Scott Courtney Drupal user name: "syscrusher" http://drupal.org/user/9184 scott at 4th dot com Drupal projects: http://drupal.org/project/user/9184 Sandbox: http://cvs.drupal.org/viewcvs/drupal/contributions/sandbox/syscrusher
