I wonder... Since the PHP 5.2 problem comes up very often recently, esp with people with local AMP installations, isn't it time for an official 4.7.5 release?
My apologies for bringing up a different topic when Drupal5 is down to just 3 issues in the Critical Issue list: http://drupal.org/project/issues?projects=3060&versions=94737,94702,96923,10... However, Cog raises a good point - when should we release a 4.7.5 version? I just wanted to redirect the conversation to a place that makes more sense to discuss the idea. Greg

I've tended a lot of these in irc, forums and lists. I wrote a FAQ http://drupal.org/node/102114 this morning (which someone has edited to improve, thx!). +1 on an early release to relieve support traffic. -1 4.7.5 can only be just around the corner anyway. So I guess I'm neutral on the issue now :) regards, --Andy
Sure, I have noticed how 4.7-dev benefits from backported fixes each day that passes. But I pictured myself two years ago, having downloaded a WAMP package and a bunch of different CMSs to try out. Working the first time seems important. On 12/8/06, AjK <drupal@f2s.com> wrote:

I intend to release 4.7.5 before Chrismas (or at least before the year ends...). So please everybody who is not busy with 5.x jump into the 4.7 patch queue: http://drupal.org/project/issues?projects=3060&versions=97573,94735,94733,94... Cheers, Gerhard
