Hi, I'm looking for a volunteer to take over maintenance and development of the Web File Manager contrib module. I have too many projects and something has to drop - unfortunately I'm not working in the open source world now and it has become too difficult to stay current with Drupal except as a user. I've mentioned my desire to quit to andremolnar (the official maintainer who has even less time to work on the module than me judging by cvs messages and issue list reponses) and he will surely pass over the reins to anyone who really cares about this module and who has time/ability to improve it. I will definitely make myself available for questions to anyone interested in taking this on. -robmilne
Rob, Can I get some info Please. I would like to take it off your hands If ok with you. Regards, Leo Albert Jackson Jr lajjr --- On Wed, 8/19/09, Rob Milne <robmilne@web.net> wrote:

Although I cannot help with this, I was wondering how I could get involved as a developer. I have not had much experience with CVS, etc. and would like to learn the ropes of maintaining code, etc. for Drupal modules while helping a current developer with his/her needs. Anyone have any suggestions on this? On Wed, Aug 19, 2009 at 3:28 PM, Leo Jackson <lajjr@yahoo.com> wrote:

Hi Leo, Check out http://drupal.org/node/22572 Others may express interest in taking the module - it isn't first come first serve. I've passed this module to others in the past unsuccessfully (they didn't make time for support or enhancements). Please send me info about yourself offline. -rob Leo Jackson wrote:

Whomever takes it on should be aware of the recent PHP Stream Wrappers in core, and similar efforts by the Media module to create a unified API for a file/media managing API. Would be nice to get more of these modules on the same page. Aaron Rob Milne wrote:

These will effect the D7 update correct? Or is there something more I should be looking for? J Aaron Winborn wrote:

Yes, d7 for certain, now that it's in core. d6 development is in progress at the media module as well for maintainers interested in early adoption. Darth Clue wrote:

I'd like to volunteer to take this over. I've considered doing so previously but haven't really had a vested interest in doing so until recently. As it is, I'm finding a need to do more towards improving webFM so that it will meet my needs. Thanks, Jonathan (darthclue) Rob Milne wrote:
