[drupal-devel] I/O exception occurred: Connection refused: I HATE YOU
I suppose I'm not supposed to take this personally, but one really could think of a nicer message to send when refusing a connection. This appears when I try to access cvs.drupal.org. Yesterday I updated my cvs paths from drupal.org to cvs.drupal.org and everything was once again groovy, but today I can't access cvs.drupal.org. Is it just me and my lack of CVS skills? -Robert

You are using Eclipse, aren't you? https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=51778 It's not Drupal at all. Please Google next time.

Being nice is optional[1].

AFAIK there have been cases of abuse of the cvs server by opening too many connections at one time. Kjartan has taken measures that will shut down the cvs server for some time if this occurs again. I guess you tried to access the server during one of these downtimes. Waiting some time should cure this problem. The cvs server works for me. Cheers, Gerhard [1] No, I couldn't resist.

That's just standard CVS protocol level messaging. It's not meant for users to see. I think it means you failed to authenticate properly. -- Chris Johnson
