Great ideas, thank you times 10^6. ;) I think this is a great solution. I suppose this only really fixes shared memcache, and we should implement a fix for "CACHE_PERMANENT" stuff. But what exactly is the point of CACHE_PERMANENT again?? Caches are volatile by nature imho.
