The goal is to take some of the tediousness out of field creation. field-create command has a brief wizard which prompts you for field name, field type, and widget type. It then creates the field and instance and returns an editing URL where you can further tweak the field. Thats probably the best we can do at the CLI. You can alternatively create many fields+instances at once and then all the edit pages open in new tabs or windows in your browser.
