Through a rewrite of the Send API, and a total rewrite of this module, it continues to be possible to apply "Send to friend" configuration settings globally, per content type, or per individual node. This is most useful for "take action" style campaigns, where you'd want to tailor link text and default message settings on a per-node basis.
